- CHALLENGES
Challenges are posted every Monday alternatively by Isa, Mag or Kianel.
The piece you will submit will have to follow the sketch. But feel free to flip the sketch sideways or upside down or use a square sketch to make a rectangular card (or vice versa). Basically, use the sketch as a guide.
The option is just that : an option. Do it or not, it’s all up to you. It’s just here to spice things up a bit.
- WHAT DO I HAVE TO MAKE ?
Again, it’s up to you : a card, an ATC, a bookmark… whatever you feel like, as long as you use the sketch.
No scrapbook page. We are kinda “twined” with our friend Lutine, who does fantastic sketches for scrapbooking. So if you are looking for challenges for your scrapbooking pages, here’s the link : Les Sketchs de Lutine
- PARTICIPATION
You can participate anytime and even several times a week if you want.
Just post your piece on your blog/gallery linking back to ISMAKI blog. (posts not linking back to ISMAKI will be deleted
)
Then come back here and post the permalink in the comment section above the article/sketch of the week. Non Permalink will be deleted
You can participate to any challenge any time. There is no “do-by-date” :D. But you’ll probably have less people visiting your blog if you post your card 2 weeks after the specific challenge.
Please do not combine several challenges. Participation to ISMAKI challenges should be just for this challenge. See the good side : you will make more cards !! :o)
- WHAT IS A PERMALINK ? HOW DO I FIND IT?
A permalink is the direct link to a specific post/article.
On most blogs, you will get to it by clicking on the title of your article once you have published it.
For example:
this is the link to the ISMAKI blog : http://ismaki.wordpress.com/
and this is the permalink to the very first welcome post : http://ismaki.wordpress.com/2008/01/03/welcome-bienvenue/
It makes a big difference to find the appropriate post when people want to check them several weeks or months later. And believe us, they will.
- WHAT ARE TAGS ?
Each time we post a sketch and examples, we will add tags to the post. For example : Magnolia, Distress, template, or another brand of stamp etc….
You can then click on a specific tag in the right column, and it’ll show you all the posts linked to that tag. This is a really cool tool
- YOU ARE ALL ON THE MAGNOLIA DT, DOES IT MEAN THAT I MUST USE THOSE STAMPS?
No, not at all.
When we decided to start the ISMAKI blog, we agreed that we would not limit it to Magnolia stamps. But as we are all on the Magnolia DT, we thought that it would be good to post 1 example a week using those stamps and other examples as well to encourage all participations.
- AS IT’S 3 OF YOU, DOES IT MEAN THAT THERE WILL BE 3 EXAMPLES EVERY WEEK?
Nope… as much as we will try to do that, we all have busy lives and there will be weeks when there will be just one or two examples to illustrate the sketch.
- GUESTS
Every fourth Monday, the challenge will be hosted by one “guest” who will be sent a sketch and will have to make one example for that week.
The “guest” will be chosen amongst the regular participants to the challenges.
- PRAISING
You all like to have visits and praises on your blog and artwork, right ? Well, the best way to get more is to praise more yourself. We know we can’t praise on ALL the articles, but try to praise 10 or 15 people a week. It takes seconds and it really makes their day. And odds on, they’ll come and praise you too
